News from Kristi:
Trick or treat for unicef is October 18th 3-4:30. I talked with Denny and had it moved to Sunday instead of Saturday. This will be set in stone, now!
Be on the lookout for Christmas program details.
Cooking Class only has two more weeks to go after tomorrow.
Does your child have any success stories you would like to share?
i will spotlight a different child every month. This month is Lexi Wolfe . i will need a little time on getting info from her!
We are tentatively scheduling another Veggie Tales movie for November 21st from 2-4. I have it ordered, and am hoping it will be here by then! The title is Saint Nicholas, A Story of Joyful Giving

JourneyLand
From Kristi: I have a list of the classes and a short description of each in the hall on the long bulletin board. There are also sign up sheets. We start JL this Sunday and I only have
one spot signed up for! SO, I REALLY NEED MEMBERS TO CHECK THE BOARD OUT!!!
storytelling
geography/culture
theater
music memory
creativity workshop
games
Also, our challenge for March is collecting $ for the Foster's Home For Children. There is a can in the foyer and one in JL. I will also try to put a can in the adult class room.
Wednesday nights will now be p.j. nights. Feel free to allow your child to come in their pajamas so that getting them into better after church is easier.
Our VBS is set for June 27th at this time. Still deciding on our theme!
Kids' workday is March 22nd at the church. Times to be announced!
Please move to the front of the church with your children during any baptisms we may have. What a wonderful thing for our children to experience and what a sweet thing for the baptized to look out and see
many close faces.
Teachers needed for new JL classes that start this Sunday and the Sunday morning baby class. Thank you!

It's 2009!
January Service Challenge: Young County Animal Shelter
The Shelter is in need of cleaning supplies, dog and cat toys, treats, dog and cat food, cat litter, old blankets, and dog and cat food.
Great job on the December Service Challenge! The Mitten Tree was full!
Please also remember to go over the Old Testament. Kristi has been working with the kids, but they are still a little rusty. Most of them have done an outstanding job on learning the New Testament.
It's going to be a wonderful year at Eastside. Happy New Year!
